Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4TDU38SL) features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This patented wedge action secures monolithic tempered glass from the bottom of the rail using two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is pulled down with socket head cap bolts, the angled extrusions are forced together inside the angled groove of the rail, creating the high clamping force that defines our system (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail). The result: a rigid, single-component housing that resists shift and stays in adjustment over time—ideal for commercial glass door applications.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers faster installation than traditional door rails. Experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes. Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, simply attach a door arm or pivot (not included) to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide. The Adjustable Door Alignment System allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door—standard on both top and bottom rails.

To fine-tune the door after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the adjustable slide; the two outer bolts provide the ±1/8" adjustment. The low-profile adjustable slide accommodates pivots with slotted grooves and can be fabricated for vertically out-of-square openings. Arms and pivots must be ordered separately.
