An innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This patented wedge action applies downward pressure from the bottom of the rail via two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, the angled extrusions are wedged together, compressing the specially designed gasket to produce exceptionally high holding force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail) — providing robust, vibration-resistant glass retention for framed glass doors.

The Wedge-Lock® system not only secures glass reliably but also reduces installation time. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide.

The built-in Adjustable Door Alignment System allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door—standard on both top and bottom rails. To fine-tune alignment after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center secures the slide; the outer two adjust it. The low-profile slide enables pivot placement other than the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), allowing fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.

Other benefits: models accept 3/8" or 1/2" (10 or 12 mm) glass; single-piece rigid housing that resists shifting or loss of adjustment; internal components remain in place during installation; durable glass securing pads designed for extreme environments.

NOTE: All Wedge-Lock® Door Rails include the built-in jamb alignment block. Arms and pivots must be ordered separately.
