CRL PD and PDT Series Metal Bond Diamond Drills — PDT138

CRL PD and PDT Series metal-bond diamond drills use a specialty diamond-and-bronze bond engineered for maximum performance on flat glass. These Italian-made, multi-layer metal bond drill bits deliver long life and cooler cutting than resin-bond alternatives — producing 1,000–2,000 holes in 1/4" (6.4 mm) glass with proper maintenance and wet sharpening to expose fresh diamonds. The full 3/8" (10 mm) deep diamond cutting surface provides extended drill life but requires true-running machines and flat glass surfaces to avoid breakage.

The CRL PD Series features an extra-long 1-3/8" x 3/8" (35 x 10 mm) diameter shank for a secure grip. The CRL PDT Series (PDT138) uses Belgian-style mounting threads (1/2" / 12.7 mm gas thread), widely compatible with U.S. and European glass drilling machines and suitable for portable units like the CRL AMZ1 as well as production equipment.
