You can fabricate your own aluminum jambs for sliding glass door assemblies using CRL Dor-Tite Sponge Rubber Stripping (SKU D4850). This black, open-cell sponge rubber is available in multiple widths and thicknesses to fit most aluminum extrusions. Use it for cushioning, dustproofing, and rattle-proofing sliding glass panel edges. Material density is 26 lbs./cu. ft. with a medium deflection/compression rating of 5–10 psi.
