Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2, Canadian Patent 2,419,706, and European Patent No. EP 1 404 939 B1). The system secures the glass by applying downward pressure through two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar tightened with socket head cap bolts. The angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the rail so the wedge action pulls the glass-retaining extrusions together, producing exceptional clamping force — more than 900 lbs. in our 9" (228.6 mm) corner rail (about 100 lbs. per inch).

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers a secure hold and the fastest installation time of any door rail system in the industry. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in less than ten minutes. Rails come completely fabricated and ready to install with end caps installed. After rail installation, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide.

The adjustable door alignment slide allows ±1/8" (3 mm) fine-tuning toward or away from the jamb without removing the door — standard on both top and bottom rails. To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt locks the slide; the two outer bolts adjust the slide in or out. The low-profile slide and slotted pivot grooves enable non-standard setback positions and fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
