The special sawtooth design of CRL Amazing Glazing Plated Diamond Drills (SKU AG1316) reduces contact area for improved grinding action and increased coolant penetration. Ideal plated diamond drill bits for glass, these sawtooth diamond drills work well in portable tripod and cup-style machines. For best results use with DTC80 Diamond Tool Coolant and submerge in a retaining ring. Although plated, these diamond glass drill bits can be sharpened one time with a CRL Sharpening Stone after full wear to expose remaining diamonds and extend service life.
NOTE: Always wear proper safety gear, including eye protection, when drilling glass. Work should be performed on a flat, horizontal surface. Use a Cat. No. GF1 Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt Device when operating any electric tool near water or coolant. Failure to follow these precautions can result in operator injury.
Product Warning
NEVER perform freehand drilling. Hand drills require a stabilization base such as our GDB1 & GDB2 Glass Drilling Bases. Extreme care is required—using these drills other than specified may damage the bit and void the warranty.
