Overview
- Unique aggressive sawtooth profile for faster cutting
- CRL’s most durable plated diamond drill — machined from solid steel
- Diameters from 1/8" to 4-1/2" for glass and glazing applications
The special sawtooth design of CRL Amazing Glazing Plated Diamond Drills reduces contact area for improved grinding action and better coolant penetration—ideal for drilling glass, glazing, and tiles in portable tripod and cup-style machines. These plated diamond drills are machined from solid steel for extended life. For best results use with DTC80 Diamond Tool Coolant and submerge the bit in a retaining ring during operation. When fully worn, these plated drills can be sharpened once with a CRL Sharpening Stone to expose remaining diamonds and extend service life.
Safety: Always wear proper personal protective equipment, including eye protection, when drilling glass. Perform work on a flat, horizontal surface. Use a Cat. No. GF1 Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter when operating electric tools with water or coolant. Failure to follow these precautions can result in serious injury.
Product Warning
NEVER perform freehand drilling. Use a stabilization base (for example, CRL GDB1 or GDB2 Glass Drilling Bases) when using a hand drill. Misuse or drilling outside specified methods may damage the bit and void the warranty.
