CRL 2" Open Cell Backer Rod - 100 Foot Roll

The CRL Open Cell Backer Rod is an essential tool for controlling sealant depth and serving as an effective bond breaker in construction projects.
Compatible with both cold-applied and hot-pour sealants, this highly compressible polyurethane foam adapts to irregular or damaged joints without being compromised by dynamic joint movement.
Available in diameters ranging from 5/8” to 2” (16 to 51 mm), it eliminates the risk of outgassing and is ideal for high-performance sealants like silicones and urethanes.
Best used in vertical and horizontal wall joints, it is not recommended for horizontal traffic surfaces like pavement joints.
Proper installation involves selecting the appropriate size, ensuring the joint is clean, and using a blunt tool for placement.
