You can fabricate your own aluminum jambs for sliding glass door assemblies using CRL Dor-Tite Sponge Rubber Stripping (SKU D3450). This black, open-cell sponge rubber fits a variety of aluminum extrusions and is ideal for cushioning, dustproofing, and rattle-proofing sliding glass panel edges. The tape has a density of 26 lbs./cu.ft. with a medium deflection/compression of 5–10 psi.
Dor-Tite Sponge Rubber Stripping installs in seconds—simply remove the adhesive liner and apply. The textured, non-stretchable surface provides a durable weatherproof seal with no cleanup required. Use for window and door seals, glass door jamb liners, edge protection, and vibration damping.
