Overview
- Unique, aggressive sawtooth profile for faster glass cutting
- Our most durable plated diamond drill bit—machined from solid steel
- Diameters from 1/8" to 4-1/2" (3.2 to 114.3 mm)
The special sawtooth design of CRL Amazing Glazing Plated Diamond Drills (SKU: AG34) reduces contact area for improved grinding action and increased coolant penetration. Ideal for plated diamond glass drill bits used in portable tripod and cup-style machines, these bits are optimized for glass drilling with coolant. For best results use DTC80 Diamond Tool Coolant and submerge the bit in a retaining ring. Although plated, these drills can be sharpened one time with a CRL Sharpening Stone after full wear to expose remaining diamonds and extend service life.
NOTE: Always wear proper safety gear, including eye protection, when drilling glass. Perform work on a flat, horizontal surface. Use a Cat. No. GF1 Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter when operating electric tools with water or coolant. Failure to follow these precautions can result in operator injury.
Product Warning
NEVER perform freehand drilling. Hand drills require a stabilization base such as our GDB1 or GDB2 Glass Drilling Bases. Extreme care is required—using these drills in ways other than specified may damage the bit and void the warranty.
