Designed to insulate wire, pipes, dissimilar metals, etc., CRL Electrical Tape is resistant to weather, water, acids, alkalis, and oils. It has superior conformability and high elongation to give a tight, solid wrap. A silicone spray additive gives it an 18 month shelf life. The glossy black tape is 7 mils (.18 mm) thick.
