The special sawtooth design of CRL Amazing Glazing Plated Diamond Drills (SKU: AG38) reduces contact area to improve grinding action and increase coolant penetration—ideal for precision glass drilling with portable tripod and cup-style machines. These plated diamond glass drill bits are the most durable in our line, machined from solid steel for extended life. For best results, use with DTC80 Diamond Tool Coolant and submerge the workpiece in a retaining ring. When fully worn, the plated drills can be sharpened one time with a CRL Sharpening Stone to expose remaining diamonds and extend service life.

Safety & setup: Always wear appropriate safety gear, including eye protection, and work on a flat, horizontal surface. Use a Cat. No. GF1 Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt Device when operating electric tools with water or coolant to reduce shock risk. Failure to follow these precautions can result in operator injury.
