CRL's Premium Cap Rails (SKU: GR16BS6) are manufactured using a precision bump-forming process for consistent radii, tighter tolerances, and reduced stress compared with roll-formed cap rails. Welds on both sides of the internal channel provide added strength and stability for fabrication, minimizing twist and discoloration at welded corners—ideal for glass railing systems and architectural handrail applications.

All Premium Cap Rails are formed with precision tooling to maintain uniform diameters and smooth hairline transitions at splices, corners, and end caps. The welded internal channel increases rigidity for durable use in commercial and residential glass railing installations. Connector sleeves are recommended to join cap rails. Sold in 120" (3.05 m) lengths; 168" (4.27 m) available.

Glass installation notes:

• With 1/2" (12 mm) glass use Cat. No. GR5PV cap rail vinyl and 95CBL silicone to secure the glass.
• With 5/8" (16 mm) glass secure with 95CBL silicone and shims.
• With 3/4" (19 mm) glass use 95CBL silicone and shims.
