CRL 3M® Fire Barrier Sealant is a water-based, premium, intumescent, latex-based sealant offering outstanding fire performance plus a non-halogen formula. In addition, the unique intumescent property (expanding when heated) means that as cable and pipe insulation is consumed by fire, 3M® Fire Barrier Sealant expands to fill and hold the penetration closed. As little as 1/2" (13 mm) can effectively firestop the opening. Bonds to concrete, metals, wood and cable jacketing. No mixing required. Dries tack-free in approximately 10 to 15 minutes, and is paintable after a 72 hour cure. Only minimal amounts necessary to fill the void.

ASTM E-119 Fire Tests of Building Construction and Materials, ASTM E-814 Fire Tests of Through-Penetration Fire Stops, UL 1479 Firestops, and Fire Tests of Through Penetration. Both tested and classified by Underwriters Laboratories.
