CRL introduced 3M® Trizact® Abrasive Film to the glass industry. This engineered film features microscopic pyramid-shaped abrasive structures that expose fresh abrasive uniformly as they wear, flushing spent particles away for consistent cutting and fewer contaminants.


This easy-to-use abrasive film system includes multiple grades to progress from a ground finish to an optical-quality clear polish. Ideal long-tail applications include glass scratch repair kits, windshield scratch removal, table-top glass restoration, edge finishing, and high-polish glass fabrication. No messy slurries—just wet use with plain water for reliable results.

For a modest investment in supplies and equipment, shops and experienced DIYers can remove light or deep scratches, scuffs, wiper marks, and stains from flat and curved glass, restoring windshields, display cases, mirrors, and tabletops to near-new clarity.

Always progress through each Trizact® grade long enough to eliminate defects from the previous stage—skipping grades can leave small blemishes. When using the high-polish clear (cerium) stage, flush the work surface with water between stages to remove loose abrasive.
