Our innovative glass entrance system, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4T0RB12CL) features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This tempered glass door rail for 1/2" (12 mm) monolithic glass secures the glass by applying downward pressure with two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is drawn down with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions engage an internal wedge groove to clamp the glass—creating over 900 lbs. of force in the 9" (228.6 mm) corner rail and proportionally more in full-length rails (35-3/4" / 908 mm).

The Wedge-Lock® Glass Securing System delivers secure attachment plus the fastest installation time among door rail systems. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails arrive fully fabricated and ready-to-install with End Caps installed. Before hanging the door, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail. The Adjustable Door Alignment System lets you move the door 1/8" (3.2 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removing the door; this feature is standard on both top and bottom rails.

After installation, remove the End Cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the adjustable slide; the two outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3.2 mm) in or out. The low-profile adjustable slide allows pivots with slotted grooves to be positioned other than the American Standard Setback of 2-3/4" (69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
