CRL PD and PDT Series Metal Bond Diamond Drills (SKU: PD4) use a specialized diamond-and-bronze bond engineered for maximum performance in glass drilling. These Italian-made metal bond diamond drills deliver long life—often 1,000–2,000 holes in 1/4" (6.4 mm) glass with proper wet sharpening and maintenance. The multi-layer construction cuts faster and runs cooler than conventional bits, while the full 3/8" deep diamond surface provides extended wear life. Because metal bond drills are more brittle, use them only in true-running machines on flat glass surfaces for best results.

The CRL PD Series features an extra-long 1-3/8" by 3/8" (35 x 10 mm) shank for secure mounting. The PDT Series offers Belgian-style mounting threads (1/2" gas), compatible with many U.S. and European glass drilling machines and production equipment, while still usable in portable units like the CRL AMZ1.
