Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4TBL12C), uses the exclusive Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 & 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This glass door rail system applies downward pressure through two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, angled wedges lock the extrusions together, generating very high retention force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" / 228.6 mm corner rail) for secure tempered glass installation.
NOTE: Actual Product Height: 4-1/16" (103 mm)
The Wedge-Lock® system gives fast, reliable installation for commercial glass doors. Door rails arrive completely fabricated and ready-to-install with End Caps installed. After mounting the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide.
The Adjustable Door Alignment System allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door. Adjustment is performed by removing the End Cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts provide the 1/8" in/out adjustment. The low-profile slide accommodates pivots set away from the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
Key differentiators:
- Fastest installation time among door rail systems — experienced installers can prep a door in under ten minutes
- Rigid, single-component housing that resists shifting and maintains adjustment over time
- Internal components stay assembled during installation — no disassembly required
- Durable glass securing pads designed for longevity in extreme environments
Other features: models accept 3/8" to 3/4" (10 to 19 mm) glass; built-in jamb alignment block is standard. Arms, pivots, keyed cylinders, thumbturns, closer arms and floor or overhead pivots are ordered separately to meet job requirements.
