Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4TSA12C) features the exclusive Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). Designed for storefront and interior glass doors that use monolithic tempered glass, the system secures glass by applying downward pressure through two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions wedge together in the door rail groove, producing extremely high clamping force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail). This reliable mechanical wedge creates a durable, long-lasting bond without adhesive or split housings common to other door rail systems.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers faster installs than competitive door rails—experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide that is pre-assembled in the rail.

The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System provides ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb on both top and bottom rails without removing the door. To fine-tune alignment after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts—the center secures the slide, and the two outer bolts adjust the slide in or out. The low-profile slide allows pivots with slotted grooves to be positioned off the American standard setback (2-3/4", 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
