- Used to drive hanger bolt into wall or wood stud easily
- Compatible with hand or electric screwdrivers
Instructions:
- Drill pilot hole for hanger bolt (sizes below):
- HB1024xxxx — hard woods: 7/64" Ø, soft woods: 3/32" Ø
- HB14xxxx — hard woods: 9/64" Ø, soft woods: 7/64" Ø
- HB516xxxx — hard woods: 13/64" Ø, soft woods: 11/64" Ø
- HB38xxxx — hard woods: 7/32" Ø, soft woods: 3/16" Ø
- Replace drill bit with the appropriate hanger bolt driver.
- Slip on a flat washer and thread on a hex nut.
- Thread hanger bolt into the driver and drive into the pilot hole until stopped by the washer.
- Remove the driver. The washer and nut help extract the driver if it sticks.
