- Diameters from 1/8" to 4-1/2" (3.2 to 114.3 mm)
The special sawtooth design of CRL Amazing Glazing Plated Diamond Drills (SKU: AG58) reduces contact area for improved grinding action and increased coolant penetration. Ideal plated diamond drills for glass, they work particularly well with portable tripod and cup-style machines. These drills are machined from solid steel for maximum durability. For best results, use with DTC80 Diamond Tool Coolant and submerge in a retaining ring. Although plated, AG58 drills can be sharpened one time with a CRL Sharpening Stone when fully worn to expose additional diamond and extend usable life.
Safety: Always wear proper safety gear, including eye protection, when drilling glass. Perform work on a flat, horizontal surface. Use a Cat. No. GF1 Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt Device when operating electric tools with water or coolant. Failure to follow these precautions can result in operator injury.
Product Warning
NEVER perform freehand drilling. Hand drills require a stabilization base such as our GDB1 or GDB2 Glass Drilling Bases. Extreme care and caution are required—using these drills outside specified methods may damage the bit and void the warranty.
