CRL 5/8" Closed Cell Backer Rod - 1550 Foot Roll

The CRL Closed Cell Backer Rod is a premium, round, flexible polyethylene foam designed to control sealant depth, enhancing joint design and sealant efficiency.
This non-bonding backer rod eliminates the need for an additional bond breaker, ensuring sealants can flex without stress, improving adhesion and performance.
Available in diameters from 1/4" to 2" (7 to 50mm), it is perfect for expansion/control joints in various applications, from curtain walls to door and window frames.
Compatible with all cold-applied sealants, this backer rod promotes the ideal "hourglass" shape for joint sealants, preventing water absorption and ensuring optimal performance within temperature limits of -45°F to 160°F (-43°C to 71°C).
For best results, select an oversized backer rod to fit snugly in the joint, and store in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
