This CRL Prismatic Glass Drill (SKU: 2603) is the industry-standard tungsten carbide glass drill bit for flat glass applications. Precision ground on three sides with an extra-long tip, it delivers consistent, long-lasting performance so you can produce hundreds of high-quality holes without frequent re-sharpening.


Use prismatic drills in glass drilling machines such as the CRL2, SDM4, and 41, or in a securely held electric drill—do not use with hand brace drills. Always keep the bit cool with a suitable coolant (for example, CRL DTC80) to extend tool life and protect the glass.

NOTE: Wear appropriate safety gear (gloves and eye protection) and work on a flat, horizontal surface. Use a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFPI), such as CRL Cat. No. GF1, when operating electric tools with water or coolant. Failure to follow these precautions may result in operator injury.

For best results, run these drills at 400–600 RPM. The prismatic tip is intentionally slightly angled—not sharp—so it first scratches the glass to begin the drilling process and reduce chipping.
