You can fabricate your own Aluminum Jambs for your sliding glass door assemblies by using CRL Dor-Tite Sponge Rubber Stripping. This black, open cell sponge rubber stripping is available in different widths and thicknesses to fit most any size aluminum extrusion. It is used for cushioning, dust proofing, and rattle proofing the edge of sliding glass panels. The density of the tape is 26 lbs./cu.ft. and the deflection/compression is 5-10 psi (medium).
Dor-Tite Sponge Rubber Stripping is easy-to-use – just remove the adhesive protective liner and apply. No clean up is required. The strip's exposed surface has a textured finish and is non-stretchable.
