The CRL Adjustable Spring Power Overhead Concealed Door Closer (SKU: CRL8762S) is an ADA-compliant, retrofit-ready concealed overhead closer designed for commercial exterior and interior aluminum storefront and hollow metal doors. Offered as a body-only kit with mounting clips to replace non-adjustable closers, or as complete packages including the closer body, mounting clips, Type S side-load or Type A end-load arm, and a DP-Adjustable Dual-Purpose Bottom Pivot Set or GE-Pivot Set. Independent dual-action valves control closing and latching speeds. Available in 90Β° and 105Β° hold-open or no hold-open configurations. Bodies fit into standard 1-3/4" x 4" (44 x 102 mm) or larger extrusions; additional spring sizes and hardware options are available to suit site conditions.


Adjustable Spring Power
Allows spring tension adjustment from a minimum 8-1/2 lbs. opening force up to a medium spring size to meet site requirements and A.D.A. opening force limits.

Independent Adjustment Valves
Non-critical valves independently adjust Closing Speed and Latching Speed for precise, field-tunable performance.

Special Retaining Rings
Prevent valve screws from backing out of the closer body during adjustment or maintenance.

Note: An auxiliary floor or overhead door stop is recommended to prevent damage from over-extension of the maximum allowable door swing.
