CRL 9BL21D Series Square Base Shoe — same profile as the L21S Series but engineered to be 30% lighter. This lightweight aluminum base shoe is more price‑competitive, environmentally friendly, and reduces shipping costs. Designed for use with the patented TAPER-LOC® System, the 9BL extrusions can be cut to length with a chop saw using a minimum 10" (254 mm) diameter blade for aluminum.

Glass specification:
For use with 27/32" (21.52 mm) laminated tempered glass (10 x 1.52 x 10 mm). Thickness range: .803" to .903" (20.4 to 22.9 mm). Will work with ASTM 7/8" monolithic tempered glass. Will not accommodate the full ASTM thickness range for 27/32" glass.

Product warning:
CRL does not recommend direct powder coating of this base shoe extrusion. Powder-coated cladding applied over the base shoe is the recommended method.

All pre-drilled CRL base shoes have a +1/8" (3 mm) / -1/16" (1.5 mm) tolerance between each drilled hole. Before drilling installation holes in concrete or steel, place the base shoe in its final position and mark hole locations on the substrate.
