There are two main advantages to choosing our Door Closer Bodies with Mounting Clips (SKU: CRL6962). First, if you are replacing a worn door closer, you save cost by purchasing only the closer body instead of a full assembly. Second, you can build a custom overhead concealed door closer by adding the exact accessories you need—pivots, arms, and other parts—so you get a tailored Door Closer package for each job. Each door closer body ships with mounting clips, templates, and clear installation instructions.
Independent Adjustment Valves
Non-critical valve control lets you adjust both closing speed and latching speed independently for precise performance.
Special Retaining Rings
Prevent adjustment valve screws from being backed completely out of the door closer body for added durability and safety.
NOTE: An auxiliary floor or overhead door stop is recommended to prevent damage to the door closer and entryway from over-extension of maximum allowable door swing.
Weight and Size Limitations
Door Weight: 200 lbs. (91 kg)
Exterior Door Width: 42" (1.07 m)
Interior Door Width: 48" (1.22 m)

ADA Compliance Advisory
Although A.D.A. Series door closers meet A.D.A. specified opening force requirements, they may not provide sufficient spring power to control and close doors under all site conditions and door sizes. Use caution when configuring closers to comply with ADA opening forces.
Product Warning
Closers adjusted to meet A.D.A. opening force limits might not have adequate spring power to reliably close the door in some installations due to varying site conditions and door size.
