The CRL B5L Series Custom Low Profile Square Aluminum Base Shoe (SKU: B5LDC) is a low profile square aluminum base shoe engineered as the base channel for glass railing systems on decks, balconies, and yachts. Designed specifically for the Wet Glaze System, this aluminum base shoe accepts monolithic tempered glass and can be clad in several architectural finishes to match your design. Proper attachment to the substrate is critical; CRL provides engineered drilling patterns and compatible fastener solutions to ensure a secure installation.


GLASS SPECIFICATIONS:
1/2" (12 mm) to 5/8" (16 mm) thick tempered glass when using the Wet Glaze System.
Note: This low profile base shoe is not for use with the TAPER-LOC® Dry Glaze System or the Wedge Dry Glaze System.
SHIPPING NOTE: Due to packaging and handling challenges with 20' (6.10 m) lengths, CRL recommends Will Call pickup at a distribution center. If shipment is required, packaging and handling terms must be agreed upon by CRL and the customer and will be documented on your quotation for approval.

Product Warning:

Use only 1/2" or 5/8" (12 or 16 mm) tempered glass with the Wet Glaze System. Do not use this product with Wedge or other dry glaze systems. CRL does not recommend direct powder coating of the extrusion; use powder coated cladding applied over the base shoe instead.
