The CRL B5L Series Low Profile Square Base Shoe is a low-profile base channel engineered for glass railing systems and windscreens, ideal for residential and yacht installations where a discreet, architectural finish is desired. Available in multiple architectural claddings, this base shoe is specifically for use with the Wet Glaze method and is not compatible with the Wedge Dry Glaze system. Proper attachment to the substrate is critical; CRL provides tested drilling patterns, approved fasteners, and a printed brochure with Instructions, Installation Hints, Cleaning, and Refinishing techniques.


SHIPPING NOTE: Due to handling and packaging challenges with 240" (6.10 m) stock lengths, Will Call pickup at a distribution center is recommended. If shipment is required, packaging and handling terms must be agreed upon by CRL and the customer and will be documented on your quotation for approval.

Product Warning:

Use with 1/2" (12 mm) or 5/8" (16 mm) thick glass when using the Wet Glaze system. Caution: not for Wedge Dry Glaze use. All heavy base shoes have a stock length tolerance of ±3/4" (19 mm).
