The CRL Birmingham Series Bottom Lock Patch (SKU: B1R22) mounts to the bottom corner of the lead pivot panel in the Birmingham bi-fold glass door system. The non-handed patch features an easy lock-and-release mechanism to secure the door closed, requires two holes in the glass, and fits 3/8" or 1/2" (10 or 12 mm) tempered glass panels. Available in a brushed stainless steel finish, it complements modern interior commercial and residential installations.

The Birmingham Bi-Folding Top Hung Door System uses corner patches to deliver a sleek, contemporary look for interior bi-fold glass doors. The system accommodates from two to twelve panels, bi-folding to one side or bi-parting with up to six panels per side. These top-hung systems are an economical, easy-to-install solution for interior partitions, office storefronts, and residential room dividers.

Three preconfigured kits are stocked (2x2 bi-folding, three-panel, and four-panel), each supplied with all hardware needed except the glass and substrate fasteners. Kits are configurable—add compatible fittings to achieve larger or custom panel layouts within system limits.

Panels hinge with alloy 304 stainless steel patches and hang from a satin-anodized aluminum top track on heavy-duty rollers. Midpoint patches are used on openings taller than 104" (2.6 m) for added safety. Matching bottom patches with guide pins run inside a floor-mounted continuous channel to maintain alignment as panels fold.

Key sizing and load limits: maximum panel weight 110 lbs. (50 kg), maximum panel width 29" (737 mm), maximum panel height 118" (3 m). Top and bottom tracks are supplied in 118" (3 m) lengths. Fittings require two holes per door, per fitting, plus notches for center lock housings. Optional Slim Line Locking Handles and Receiver Handles are available.
