These CRL Plastic Bearing Shimstrips (SKU: PBS04) are designed for placing and leveling curtainwall and storefront metal in concrete openings. Manufactured from an extremely strong multipolymer plastic, these solid shims resist compression, chemical attack, moisture, and rust—making them ideal for long-term support in glazing and storefront installation applications. Unlike slotted horseshoe shims, these solid shims can be drilled at the center to fit over bolts and prevent movement. Each shim measures 4" x 2" (102 x 51 mm) and snaps off the factory strip. Available thicknesses: 1/4", 1/8", and 1/16" (6.3, 3.2, and 1.6 mm).
