CRL Edgetech Super Spacer® is a high-performance silicone foam insulating glass spacer designed to reduce perimeter condensation and lower overall window heat loss. The flexible, UV-resistant silicone foam accommodates glass bowing and thermal movement, making it ideal for curved, odd-shaped, triple-glazed, and art-glass insulating glass (IG) units. The spacer’s open-cell permeability enables fast moisture pick-up, while a multilayer barrier film minimizes moisture vapor transmission and inert gas loss.
The Super Spacer® system eliminates the need for desiccant beads and corner keys—streamlining fabrication of custom and curved IG units. NOTE: Super Spacer® must be used with an approved edge sealant; CRL recommends CRL Hot Melt Butyl or CRL 877 Super Spacer Sealant.
Durability & UV Resistance: UV-stable silicone prevents spacer degradation for long-term performance in exterior insulating glass applications.
