Our innovative glass entrance system, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). The patented wedge action applies downward pressure to two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions via a stainless steel bar and socket head cap bolts, forcing the angled extrusions together against the rail wedge. Combined with the door retaining gasket, this design generates very high clamping force in the rail (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail) for secure glass retention in commercial glass doors.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers faster installation time than traditional door rails—experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL rails ship completely fabricated and ready-to-install with End Caps installed. After rail installation, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide that arrives preassembled in the rail.

The Adjustable Door Alignment System allows 1/8" (3.2 mm) of in/out adjustment (standard on top and bottom rails) without removing the door. Remove the End Cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the adjustable slide; the two outer bolts move the slide 1/8" in or out. The low-profile slide and slotted pivot grooves allow offset pivot placement for vertically out-of-square openings.

Other advantages: single-component rigid housing that resists shift and loss of adjustment over time, internal components do not require removal for installation, and durable glass securing pads designed for longevity in extreme environments. Models accept 3/8" to 3/4" (10 to 19 mm) glass. Note: built-in Jamb Alignment Block is standard; arms and pivots must be ordered separately.
