An innovative glass door solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR6SDU12CL) uses the exclusive Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) to lock glass in place with a high-pressure wedge action. Two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions compress via a stainless steel bar and socket-head cap bolts into an angled rail groove, generating exceptional holding force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail) for secure, durable attachment in full-length door rails as well. This patented wedge design is a key differentiator for heavy-duty glass door installation and longevity in extreme environments.

The Wedge-Lock® system not only secures the glass but minimizes installation time—experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes. CRL rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps in place. After mounting the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the pre-assembled adjustable door alignment slide. The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System on both top and bottom rails provides +/-1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without door removal—useful for vertically out-of-square openings.

For final adjustments, remove the end cap to access three socket-head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts adjust the slide in or out by 1/8" (3.2 mm). The low-profile slide permits pivot placement other than the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm). Other advantages include models accepting 3/8" or 1/2" (10 or 12 mm) glass, a rigid single-component housing that resists shifting over time, internal components that do not require removal before installation, and long-life glass-securing pads.

NOTE: All Wedge-Lock® Door Rails include a built-in jamb alignment block; arms and pivots must be ordered separately to meet job requirements.
