Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, is a high-security, fast-install rail for frameless glass doors and tempered glass door systems. It features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2, Canadian Patent 2,419,706, and European Patent No. EP 1 404 939 B1). The Wedge-Lock® applies downward pressure using two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is pulled down with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the door rail, creating exceptional clamping force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" / 228.6 mm corner rail) for secure glass retention across the full-length rails.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers industry-leading installation speed—experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the pre-assembled adjustable door alignment slide.

The Adjustable Door Alignment System lets you shift the door 1/8" (3.2 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removing the door; this feature is standard on both top and bottom rails. To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide, and the outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3.2 mm) in or out. The low-profile slide lets pivots with slotted grooves be positioned off the American Standard setback for vertically out-of-square openings.

Other key benefits: models accept 3/8" to 3/4" (10–19 mm) glass; a rigid single-component housing that resists shift and loss of adjustment; no need to remove internal components before installation; and durable glass-securing pads designed for longevity in extreme environments.

NOTE: All Wedge-Lock® Door Rails include the built-in Jamb Alignment Block. Arms, pivots, keyed cylinders, thumbturns and closer arms must be ordered separately to meet job requirements.
