Our innovative glass entrance system, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4TDU38CL) features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This patented wedge action secures monolithic tempered glass by applying downward pressure with two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar tightened with socket head cap bolts. As the bar is pulled down, the angled extrusions engage the rail groove and compress against the specially designed door gasket — producing exceptionally high retention force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail). The same principle scales across full-length rails for superior glass retention in commercial glass doors and storefront applications.

The Wedge-Lock® Glass Securing System delivers faster installations and reliable long-term performance. Experienced installers can prepare a door for hanging in less than ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails ship completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the pre-assembled adjustable door alignment slide.

Standard adjustable door alignment allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door, on both top and bottom rails. To make post-install adjustments, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: center bolt secures the slide; the outer bolts adjust the slide position. The low-profile slide permits pivot placement outside the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
