An innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System uses the exclusive Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) to secure the glass from the bottom of the rail. Two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions compress the glass via a flat stainless steel bar tightened with socket head cap bolts. The angled extrusions seat into a matching angled groove in the rail so that, when the bar is pulled down, the wedge action draws the extrusions together and, combined with the door retaining gasket, generates high clamping force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" / 228.6 mm corner rail). This patented approach provides consistent, rigid holding power across full-length door rails without shifting over time.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers the industry’s fastest door-rail installation time. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® door rails come fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail.

The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System lets you shift the door 1/8" (3.2 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removing the door (standard on both top and bottom rails). To access adjustments after installation, remove the end cap to reveal three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt locks the adjustable slide and the two outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3.2 mm) in or out. The low-profile adjustable slide allows pivot placement other than the American Standard setback of 2-3/4" (69.8 mm), accommodating vertically out-of-square openings.
