An innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR6SDU12SL) uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) to clamp glass securely from the bottom. Two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar are pulled down with socket head cap bolts into an angled groove, creating wedge pressure that secures the glass. In our 9" (228.6 mm) corner rail this generates more than 900 lbs. of force (about 100 lbs. per inch), delivering exceptional holding strength in full-length door rails—ideal for commercial glass door installations and heavy-use storefront doors.

The Wedge-Lock® system also reduces installation time. Experienced installers can prepare a door for hanging in under ten minutes. Door rails arrive fully fabricated and ready to install with end caps installed. After rail installation, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail. The Adjustable Door Alignment System allows 1/8" (3.2 mm) in/out adjustment without removing the door—standard on both top and bottom rails.

To access adjustments after installation, remove the end cap to reveal three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide and the two outer bolts provide the 1/8" in/out adjustment. The low-profile slide permits pivots with slotted grooves to be positioned off the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm) and accommodates vertically out-of-square openings.
