An innovative tempered-glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR6SDU58CL) uses the exclusive Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) to lock glass inside the rail with wedge action and stainless steel clamping. Two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions are pulled down by a flat stainless bar and socket head cap bolts; the angled extrusions seat into an angled groove, forcing the extrusions together and compressing the door-retaining gasket. The result: exceptionally high glass retention force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" / 228.6 mm corner rail) — and even greater holding force in full-length rails.

Installation notes: after mounting the rail, expose the adjustable slide by removing the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts — center bolt secures the slide; outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3.2 mm) in or out. Arms, pivots, closer arms, and floor or overhead pivots are not included and must be ordered separately.

NOTE: All Wedge-Lock® Door Rails include a built-in jamb alignment block. Models are available to accept 3/8" or 1/2" (10 or 12 mm) glass. Locks (when ordered) are supplied with the mechanism installed; keyed cylinders or thumbturns must be ordered separately.
