An innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR6SDU12S) uses the exclusive Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) to clamp and secure the glass from the bottom of the rail. Two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions are compressed by a flat stainless steel bar and socket head cap bolts into an angled groove in the door rail. This wedge action, combined with the door retaining gasket, generates exceptional clamping force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail) for secure glass attachment across the full-length rails—ideal for commercial glass door installations and high-traffic storefronts.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers the fastest installation time among door rails: experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes. Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail. The adjustable alignment slide (standard on top and bottom rails) allows 1/8" (3.2 mm) in/out adjustment without removing the door—useful for out-of-square openings and field alignment.

To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts provide the 1/8" (3.2 mm) in/out adjustment. The low-profile slide accommodates pivots with slotted grooves and can be fabricated for non‑standard setbacks.

Other benefits: available for 3/8" or 1/2" (10 or 12 mm) glass; rigid single-component housing that resists shift and long-term misalignment; internal components remain installed during fitting; durable glass securing pads perform in extreme environments.

NOTE: All Wedge-Lock® Door Rails include a built-in jamb alignment block; arms and pivots must be ordered separately to meet job requirements.
