Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System, uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2, Canadian Patent 2,419,706, and European Patent No. EP 1 404 939 B1) to secure monolithic tempered glass in commercial door applications. The system clamps the glass from the bottom using two aluminum glass-retaining extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar tightened with socket head cap bolts. As the bar is pulled down, the angled extrusions wedge together in the door rail groove, compressing the retention gasket to create extremely high holding force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" / 228.6 mm corner rail), making it suitable for heavy-duty glass door rails and frameless glass entrances.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers fast installation and reliable performance for glass door rails. Rails arrive fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide. The adjustable door alignment system provides 1/8" (3 mm) in/out adjustment on both top and bottom rails without removing the door — ideal for on-site alignment and vertically out-of-square openings.

To fine-tune after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt locks the slide; the two outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3 mm) in or out. The low-profile slide allows pivots with slotted grooves to be positioned other than the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm).
