Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR4SDU34S), features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2, Canadian Patent 2,419,706, and European Patent No. EP 1 404 939 B1). This patented wedge action secures the glass by applying downward pressure from two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions via a stainless steel bar and socket head cap bolts. The angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the door rail so the wedge action pulls the retaining pieces together, producing very high clamping force (measured at over 900 lbs. in our 9" corner rail)—resulting in a secure, durable retention for full-length 35-3/4" rails.

The Wedge-Lock® system delivers more than a secure attachment: it provides one of the fastest installation times for glass door rails. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® door rails arrive fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail.

The standard Adjustable Door Alignment System lets you move the door 1/8" (3.2 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removing the door—standard on both top and bottom rails. To adjust after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the outer two bolts adjust the slide 1/8" in or out. The low-profile slide accommodates pivots with slotted grooves and can be fabricated for vertically out-of-square openings.
