This aluminum extrusion was developed for three key uses:

(1) As a U-channel that matches the width of our sidelite rails and door rails for a consistent finish;

(2) As a narrow header that accepts a top free-swinging pivot to secure the top of the doors;

(3) As an even sight line system—secure the fabricated narrow header to the opening, then attach the sidelite rail to the narrow header with the 1/4" (6 mm) header saddle for uniform sight lines.

All drilling, tapping, and fabrication can be performed at manufacturing to save installation time.
