CRL HSS2000 Smoke Seal (SKU: HSS2000) is an intumescent smoke seal engineered for doors and window frames to improve life safety and meet positive pressure testing criteria. Tested to UL10C, UBC 7-2 (positive pressure), ASTM and UL standards, this thin, flexible strip expands when heated to block smoke, noxious gases, flames and heat from penetrating adjacent areas. At just 3/64" thick by 7/16" wide, the seal compresses beginning at 250°F and can close openings with 1/16" gaps to maintain door latching while providing effective fire and smoke protection. Its adhesive backing enables quick, low-cost installation — ideal for retrofit and new construction applications requiring a reliable intumescent smoke seal for doors and windows.
