An innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR6SBL38SL) uses the exclusive Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) to lock glass securely in the rail. The patented system applies downward pressure through two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar; as the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, the angled extrusions wedge together in the rail groove and—together with the door retaining gasket—create exceptional clamping force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail). This design delivers high holding power, fast installation, and long-term durability for commercial glass doors.

The Wedge-Lock® system provides the fastest installation time of any door rail offered to the industry—experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® door rails come fully fabricated and ready-to-install with End Caps installed. After rail installation, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide. The adjustable slide lets you move the door 1/8" (3.2 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removing the door; this feature is standard on both top and bottom rails.

To fine-tune alignment after installation, remove the End Cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the adjustable slide; the two outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3.2 mm) in or out. The low-profile slide allows pivots with slotted grooves to be positioned off the American Standard Setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
