An innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR6SBL38S) uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) to secure tempered glass in the door rail. The system clamps glass by pulling a flat stainless steel bar down against two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions seated in an angled groove — creating tremendous holding force (more than 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail). This patented wedge action and the specially designed door retaining gasket deliver superior toughness and long-term reliability for commercial glass doors.

The Wedge-Lock® design provides fast, dependable installation for tempered glass door applications. Rails arrive completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail. The adjustable door alignment system allows ±1/8" (3.2 mm) of field adjustment toward or away from the jamb on both top and bottom rails — no door removal required. Low-profile slides and slotted pivot grooves permit non-standard setbacks and installation in vertically out-of-square openings.

Adjustment is simple: remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts — center bolt locks the slide; outer bolts adjust the slide in or out by 1/8" (3.2 mm). Internal components stay in place during installation, and the single-piece housing resists shifting over time. Glass securing pads are engineered for longevity in extreme environments.
