An innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR6SBL12C) uses the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1) to secure 1/2" (12 mm) monolithic tempered glass without split housings. The system clamps glass from the bottom using two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is drawn down with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions seat into the rail wedge, compressing the glass pads and generating exceptional holding force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" corner rail). This design provides a rigid housing that resists shifting and maintains alignment over time—ideal for commercial tempered glass doors and high-use entrances.

The Wedge-Lock® system is engineered for fast installation—experienced installers can prepare a door in under ten minutes. Rails ship completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide. The built-in adjustable door alignment system allows up to 1/8" (3.2 mm) in/out adjustment on both top and bottom rails without removing the door—useful for out-of-square openings and precision alignment in storefront and architectural glass door installations.

To access adjustments after installation, remove the end cap to reveal three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt locks the slide; the outer bolts adjust ±1/8" (3.2 mm). The low-profile slide enables pivot placement other than the American Standard setback of 2-3/4" (69.8 mm).
