Our CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System features the exclusive patented Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 & 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). This innovative door rail secures the glass by applying downward pressure through two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tightened with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the rail to wedge the components together. In our 9" (228.6 mm) corner rail this creates more than 900 lbs. of force — proportionally greater across the full 35-3/4" (908 mm) door rail.

The Wedge-Lock® system provides a secure, rigid single-component housing (not two halves) and the fastest installation time among door rails. Experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. Rails come completely fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After rail installation, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide.

The standard adjustable door alignment system (top and bottom rails) allows 1/8" (3.2 mm) adjustment toward or away from the jamb without removing the door. To access adjustments after installation, remove the end cap to reveal three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide; the two outer bolts adjust the slide 1/8" (3.2 mm) in or out. The low-profile slide supports pivots with slotted grooves and enables fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.

Other advantages: accepts 3/8"–3/4" glass; internal components do not require removal before installation; durable glass securing pads designed for longevity in extreme environments. All Wedge-Lock® Door Rails include the built-in jamb alignment block; arms and pivots must be ordered separately.
