An innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System is a frameless glass door rail system featuring the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). The system secures the glass by applying downward pressure via two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tensioned with socket head cap bolts, angled extrusions engage an angled groove in the door rail so the wedge action pulls the extrusions together, generating very high holding force (over 900 lbs. in the 9" / 228.6 mm corner rail). Imagine the holding force along full-length rails used on commercial glass doors.

The Wedge-Lock® system provides secure attachment and the fastest installation time among door rail systems — an experienced installer can prepare a door in less than ten minutes. CRL rails ship fully fabricated and ready to install with end caps installed. After rail installation, simply attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the adjustable door alignment slide already assembled in the rail.

The Adjustable Door Alignment System lets you fine-tune door position 1/8" (3.2 mm) toward or away from the jamb without removing the door; this adjustment is standard on both top and bottom rails. To access adjustments after installation, remove the end cap to reveal three socket head cap bolts: the center bolt secures the slide, and the two outer bolts allow the 1/8" in/out adjustment. The low-profile slide permits pivots with slotted grooves to be positioned other than the American Standard setback (2-3/4" / 69.8 mm), allowing fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
