Our innovative glass entrance solution, the CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rail System (SKU: DR10SBS58CL) features the exclusive CRL Wedge-Lock® Securing System (U.S. Patents 6,434,905 and 6,912,818 B2; Canadian Patent 2,419,706; European Patent EP 1 404 939 B1). Designed for storefronts and commercial glass doors, this door rail system secures 5/8" (16 mm) monolithic tempered glass using two glass-retaining aluminum extrusions and a flat stainless steel bar. As the bar is tensioned with socket head cap bolts, the angled wedges pull the extrusions together, compressing the specially designed door retaining gasket to generate substantial clamping force in the rail (example: more than 900 lbs. in a 9" corner rail). The result is a reliable, high-strength attachment for tempered glass entrance doors.

The Wedge-Lock® system also delivers the fastest installation time among door rail systems: experienced installers can prepare a door for installation in under ten minutes. CRL Wedge-Lock® Door Rails ship fully fabricated and ready-to-install with end caps installed. After mounting the rail, attach the door arm or pivot (not included) to the preassembled adjustable door alignment slide. The adjustable door alignment system (standard on both top and bottom rails) allows 1/8" (3 mm) of in/out adjustment without removing the door.

To fine-tune alignment after installation, remove the end cap to access three socket head cap bolts: the center securing bolt locks the slide; the two outer bolts provide the 1/8" (3 mm) adjustment. The low-profile adjustable slide permits pivot placement other than the American Standard setback (2-3/4", 69.8 mm), enabling fabrication for vertically out-of-square openings.
